As Chicka Chew gets closer to launch, I’ve been reflecting on where this journey truly began. It didn’t start with a business plan or a product concept. It started with my grandmother.
She raised five daughters, two granddaughters, supported her husband’s three siblings and fed countless homeless people. She taught me and shaped the person I am today. Some of my earliest memories are of watching her cook - turning simple ingredients into meals and snacks that brought our family together. Every Tết holiday, my grandmother would spend hours preparing food for our family. Among her many recipes, khô gà was always the one we looked forward to the most. Through those moments, she taught me resilience, generosity, and the power of caring for others.

More Than a Snack
Years later, as a mother myself, I gained deeper appreciation for everything she had given me. And as an entrepreneur, I realized many of the values driving Chicka Chew came directly from her.
While Chicka Chew is introducing khô gà to a wider audience, this company is about more than a snack. It’s about honoring Vietnamese culture, celebrating where we come from, and sharing traditions that deserve to be known.
My grandmother never imagined she would inspire a business. Yet her influence is woven into every part of this journey. With Chicka Chew, I’m honored to carry forward her legacy and introduce this beloved Vietnamese tradition to a new community.
